The Department

The Department of Equality has the competence of incorporating the gender perspective in all policies, programs and projects of the City of Calp in order to contribute from all areas to promote equality between women and men and guarantee non-discrimination based on sex.

Legal and social advice on gender violence and equality, as well as the prevention of gender violence and the attention to its victims in the field of municipal competences, as well as the attention and accompaniment to other types of situations derived from the exercise of violence against women.

And finally, the promotion of real and effective equality of women and men from the breakdown of gender stereotypes in order to move towards a more equitable society.

Advice to Women's Groups:
  • Support for the design of actions to promote women's associations.
  • Guidance for the formation of women's associations.
  • Dissemination of subsidies and aid for women's associations.
  • Awareness campaigns on equality of opportunities.
Advice to Entities:
  • Creation of networks and coordination with different agencies.
  • Collaboration in the design, programming, evaluation and implementation of Equality Plans.
  • Evaluation of Equality Plans of companies in the Valencian Community. 
  • Collaboration in the design and evaluation of equal opportunities policies and positive actions, to consolidate the equal participation of men and women in any social, political, economic, cultural and labor field.
